Dune is sunsetting sim.dune.com on August 1, 2026. As of May 18, 2026, new signups are disabled. Existing customers retain full access through August 1.
Dune is doubling down on the data platform most teams know us for: dune.com. Sim served a real need, but it pulled focus from where we believe Dune wins: being the read layer for onchain data.
What this means for customers
All users
- Access continues uninterrupted until August 1, 2026. ( Existing free users will not be able to upgrade beyond the current tier limit.)
Enterprise Customers
- Migration support. For current customers: warm intros to a migration partner.
- Refund. Any prepaid time past August 1 is refunded, prorated to the day.
- Mutual termination agreement to close out the contract cleanly.
We've already reached out individually to every customer via the dedicated channel.
FAQ
Why is Dune sunsetting Sim?
Focus. Dune's core data platform is where we have the deepest moat and the clearest path forward. Running Sim alongside it diluted both.
When does the service stop?
August 1, 2026.
What about my contract?
We're asking each customer to sign a Mutual Termination & Release Agreement ending the contract on August 1. In exchange: prorated refund of any prepaid time past that date, and a warm intro to a migration partner. No further invoices.
Is there a migration path?
Yes. We're partnering with Zerion, Codex and Mobula and can make a warm intro on request for existing enterprise customers. Not required. You're free to migrate anywhere.

Thank you to every team that built on Sim. We'll do everything we can to make this transition clean.
