Today, Dune caters to an ever-expanding range of users and use cases.

Wizards come in all shapes and sizes - from students, hobbyists, and anon pepes, to rapidly scaling startups, large enterprises, and public institutions.

As our user base has become far more diverse, our product needs to follow suit.

The beginner data analyst and part-time degen has vastly different needs to multibillion dollar protocols & financial institutions.

Some Wizards on the current Pro Plan, for example, are underserved. They are large, dynamic teams that want far more performance. For others, it’s excessive - and they can get all they need out of Dune on a lower plan.

The two tiers we’ve had so far, Community & Pro, don’t cut it. They didn’t allow us to serve everyone optimally & sustainably.

So after much consideration, we’re changing things up.

From now on - Dune will have 5 tiers - each one ramping up in power and flexibility.

Our mission has always been to make crypto data accessiblemake crypto data accessiblemake crypto data accessible. That isn’t changing and never will.

When you make a public dashboard, you’re contributing to this mission too, shining a light into the data and sharing it with the world. You’re educating others, and contributing to crypto.

Our community tier will always remain free - and you won’t be losing any features or power. Quite the opposite in fact, it will keep getting better and better.

Open and transparent on-chain data has always been a theoretical possibility, but our mission requires turning it into a practical reality. To do this we employ some of the best engineers in the world, and incur heavy infrastructure costs.

So when you want to build privately, or use Dune in a way that is costly from an infrastructure standpoint, you’ll need to be on one of our paid plans.

The new tiers map onto both the needs of specific types of user, and our costs to serve them optimally.

• Analyzooor ($69/mo) is ideal for independent analysts, hobbyists, students & freelancers who need a little more performance juice, and want the ability to download data & do some occasional private work
• Thug Life ($420/mo) is similar to the old Pro plan, but with a much higher level of performance. It’s ideal for teams, traders, & agencies who need more power & flexibility to work in private
• Elite ($1337/mo) is for larger organizations & businesses building with and on top of Dune. It gives you some serious computational horsepower and the flexibility to use our data in myriad ways.

If you currently use Dune free of charge on our Community tier, nothing much will change unless you want it to.

Some users were underserved on Community, and priced out of Pro. If that’s you - then Analyzooor might be a great choice and help you take your Wizardry to the next level.

The previous Pro Plan didn’t give you access to more power per se, rather it allowed you to “skip the queue”. Now though, each tier will give access to progressively more compute power.

If you do nothing, you’ll automatically be moved onto the Thug Life plan at the end of your current billing cycle. While you're being transitioned, you won't be able to upgrade, downgrade or see your usage, but you can contact [email protected] if you need anything and we will sort it out.

Your bill will increase by $30 per month, but you’ll get an upgrade in performance and plenty of flexibility to use Dune professionally.

Maybe Pro was either overkill or way underpowered for your needs? In that case you can switch to Analyzooor if your needs are more basic, or to Elite if you want to use Dune to its fullest potential. This system is the result of frequent requests from organizations & institutions who use Dune. We hope that the new plans will satisfy a wider range of needs while making premium features more accessible.

Overall, these changes lay the groundwork for a product that satisfies everyone from individuals to multibillion dollar organizations - while paving the way for a sustainable business model that will allow Dune to keep the data flowing on a whole new level.
