Dune Application Service Addendum

General

This Addendum applies in addition to the General Terms and Conditions for use of the Dune Application Service.

The Dune Application Service

The Application Service allows the User to create SQL Queries on blockchain data. The results are visualized as charts and the carts can be assembled into dashboards displayed within the Dune website. You may not access the Service or data in any other way than the graphical interface via the Site. For programmatic interaction, you need to sign up for the Dune API Service.

Each Subscription Plan for the Application Service provides different features and Execution limitations as provided in the Subscription Tiers and Pricing Page.

Private Dashboards

Dashboards can be private under one of our paid Subscription Plans.

All content created is public by default and must be set to private by the User. Queries that are made private cannot be viewed by the public or other Dune Users. Visualizations of private queries can be viewed by others if added to a dashboard or embedded on another site. Only the User may add a private query/visualization to a dashboard or generate an embed link.

Dune can in all events see the private Dashboards in order to monitor and support the Services, but will not share publicly private Queries in an identifiable manner unless the User gives permission to share them publicly.

Teams

The Teams Service allows Users to collaborate on Dashboards, which can be a public or a private Dashboard.

Administrative Users (“Admins”) shall be liable for choosing the Subscription Plan and making the payments. All Users on a Team shall ensure compliance with the Terms of Service applicable to the Teams Services by him/herself and the other Users in the Teams.

Admins shall have the following powers:

  1. create one or more Teams;
  2. to invite other Users to collaborate on the team, exclude Users from the Team, and dissolve the Team; and
  3. to define different privileges for each User with access to the Team.

Watermarks and link back to Dune

The “Dune” watermark will not be visible for Elite Users or Teams Users (including Team Users) in the Elite team plan when looking at queries on Dune or when embedding charts elsewhere. Shared dashboards will however still feature “Dune” watermarks.

When information obtained through the use of the Service is shared, presented, or utilized in any way outside of the Service, the User is required to reference Dune as the source of such information and include a Dune logo, a direct link to dune.com and a reference to the Wizard/creator of any shared content.

User Content

Any content a user submits, posts, displays, or otherwise makes available on the Site or Service is referred to as “User Content”. You retain ownership of your User Content, but not the underlying data of your Dashboard. You alone are responsible for any of your User Content that may be lost or unrecoverable through your use of the Site or Service.

All content posted on the Service must comply with applicable copyright laws and other applicable laws. You agree that any User Content you post does not and will not violate any law or infringe any rights of any third party. If you think any User Content infringes your rights, or if you want to challenge user content that has been taken down from the site, please contact us at support@dune.com. You understand and acknowledge that Dune will delete any User Content in the case Dune received a notification of a third-party alleging copyrights or other intellectual property infringement.

However, User hereby grants to Dune a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, perpetual, and irrevocable right and license to use such User Content data in aggregated or de-identified form for the purposes of providing and improving the Services.

We have no obligation to store, maintain, or provide you a copy of your User Content. We reserve the right, but are not obligated to, reject and/or remove any User Content that we believe, in our sole discretion, violate these Terms of Service.

We do not pre-screen User Content, but we retain the right (but not the obligation) in our sole discretion to refuse or remove any User Content that is available via the Site or Service.

CSV downloads

If specifically permitted under the applicable Subscription Plan, the User can download CSV reports of its query results from the Dune online interface within the agreed limitations under the relevant Subscription Plan. The User may only use this data internally within their company and in occasional reports, presentations and similar externally. Crediting Dune and the relevant query creator as source is required. These CSV exports cannot be sold directly and/or provided on a running basis as a data product or service by the User.

No white labeling / Limitations of Commercial Use

In connection with the Dune Application Services, User shall not copy, transmit, transfer, modify or create derivative works from the Queries and the public Dashboard nor wrap it in a white label manner for free or resale.

You agree not to reproduce, sublicense, transfer, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or in any other way exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service without the express written permission by Dune.
